Over the past five months, Housing For Communities, Inc. hosted six Regional Housing Forums across Oklahoma, bringing together nearly 500 participants to tackle key housing challenges. Your insights on zoning reform, funding, workforce shortages, and affordable homeownership will help shape future strategies.

As we move forward, Housing For Communities will continue working with partners to address these issues and drive meaningful change. Later this spring, we will share a comprehensive Policy document outlining key initiatives from our community engagement and metrics from the Statewide Housing Needs Assessment.

Thank you for attending and for making a difference! 💙

OKLAHOMA CITY – Gov. Kevin Stitt approved emergency rules for the Housing Stability Program (HSP) on Jan. 25. The Oklahoma Housing Finance Agency (OHFA) will begin accepting applications for the new program on Monday, Jan. 29, 2024. Visit ohfa.org/housingstability for application details.

The HSP provides $215 million of state funds for constructing new single-family homes for purchase and single and multifamily rental homes. It also offers down payment and closing cost assistance for homebuyers who purchase homes produced by the Oklahoma Homebuilder Program.
