The Regional Housing Forums are a critical initiative designed to provide comprehensive insights and strategic guidance on housing needs and stability programs across Oklahoma. These forums aim to empower local communities with the knowledge and tools necessary to address housing challenges effectively.

  • Reflecting on the 2015 Statewide Housing Needs Assessment: Insights and Lessons Learned: A review of past housing data to understand historical trends and improvements.

  • Unveiling the 2024 Oklahoma Housing Study: Shaping the Future of Oklahoma's Communities: Presentation of the latest housing study and its implications for the future.

  • Interpreting the 2024 Statewide Housing Needs Assessment: Strategies for a Better Oklahoma: Discussion on how to utilize the new data to formulate effective housing strategies.

  • Mastering the 2024 Housing Study Website: Navigating Data for Informed Decisions: A technical session on accessing and interpreting data from the new housing study website.

  • BREAK: A short break followed by registration for the Housing Stability Program training session.

  • Technical Guidance on Applying for the Oklahoma Housing Stability Program: Detailed instructions on the application process for the Housing Stability Program.

 

Dates/Locations:

 

  • Thursday, November 14 – Stillwater: Covering the counties of Adair, Cherokee, Craig, Delaware, Kay, Mayes, McIntosh, Muskogee, Noble, Nowata, Okfuskee, Ottawa, Payne, and Sequoyah.​​

  • Wednesday, December 11 – Enid: Covering the counties of Alfalfa, Beaver, Blaine, Cimarron, Custer, Dewey, Ellis, Garfield, Grant, Harper, Kingfisher, Major, Roger Mills, Texas, Woods, and Woodward.

These forums will provide valuable opportunities for local officials, community leaders, and stakeholders to engage with experts, gain critical insights, and develop actionable strategies to improve housing stability across the state.

We hope the Regional Housing Forums will lead to a deeper understanding of Oklahoma's evolving housing needs, informed by the latest 2024 data and historical trends. By providing actionable insights and technical guidance, we aim to empower participants to make data-driven decisions and effectively address local housing challenges. Additionally, we anticipate that increased community engagement and collaboration will foster stronger partnerships and innovative solutions for housing stability. Ultimately, our goal is to enhance the overall quality of housing and contribute to more sustainable and resilient communities.
